The Greeks of New York take to the streets of 5th Avenue today to celebrate the ousting of the Turks in 1812. Joining the parade will be Ms Greek Independence 2007, Loius Mandylor (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), and a few Olympic athletes. The parade starts promptly at 1pm on 59th Street and progresses up to 79th. Your best bet is to take the F to 57th St, NR to Lex, or the 4,5,6 to 59th.
