Today marks the end of a long journey for many NYU students. For a few today will be the first true day of independence. They will abandon the comfort and security of the academic world for the harsh realities of self-sufficiency. However, for most grads today will mark the start of more subtle changes - movig from the East Village to Williamsburg, going from attending class once or twice a week to not at all, begining a part time job in the service proffession, spending their parents money on rent rather than tuition.
