On Saturday May 21st BB Kings plays host to the regional finals of the US Air Guitar Championship. The rules are simple. No band. No instrument. No shame. Each contender gets to pick their own song and has 60 seconds to bring the house down. The top five move on to the next round and must perform to a surprise rock legend. Judges mark contestants in three categories: Technical Merit - does it look like they're playing the song, Stage Precense - can they command the attention and respect of the crowd, and Airness - the quality of "transcending the immitation of a real guitar to create an form in and of itself."
