Every year on Thanksgiving Eve hundreds of people busy themselves preparing for parade the next day. Primary among the preperations is the inflation of the balloons which takes place near the Museum of Natural History between 3pm and 6pm. Considering most visitors to the Macy's parade are lucky to see much more than the balloons anyway, the considerably slimmer crowds can make this altogether more enjoyable event. And the best part is you can sleep in tomorrow. Well, unless you're cooking that is.
