Sure, there are worse ways to spend your weekend than surveying the gamut of dog breeds at this championship of champions, but the real show here is not the dogs but the owners and the audience itself. The Westminister dog show attracts a virtually homogeneous whiter than bread audience and its their hair, clothes, makeup, and intrinsic sense of utter self importance which we find positively entrancing.
The best bit about the Westminister Dog Show is it's a benched show, meaning that when the dog is not actually in the ring being judged, the dog and the owner, have their own assigned area where they are both available for public viewing.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or may also be purchased in person at the Madison Square Garden box office.
