Don't be fooled by the Celtic font on the sign outside; the only thing Irish about this bar is its owner. The first floor is furnished in a manner ubiquitous to Murray Hill - tall tables and stools, big Plasma TVs and neon lights. What's strange is finding it on the crossroads of the LES and E. Village. Stranger yet is walking downstairs to discover a small club atmosphere where DJs spin a hip-hop mix to a dance floor that packs on weekends.

What You Should Know
- There's a certain segment of New York City's population that will walk into a bar like this take one look around and turn around and walk right back out the door - oddly at 1st and 1st this bar is located at the spiritual home of that population. Go figure.
