Overview

This dimly lit, heavy drinking bar has been a Park Slope fixture since 1931. It was also once Elliot Smith's favorite hang out when he lived nearby. It now attracts a mix of young and old regulars brought together by a shared love of drinks cheap and hard.

An eclectic juke and live indie rock attract the Slope's newer immigrants, while cheap drinks and a convivial crowd suit everyone.

This friendly Park Slope Irish bar has been pouring pints since before Prohibition--with prices that recall that era.

O'Connor's: Local Oasis, Hipster HQ
Dirty, dim, squatting in the soft neon glow of Atlantic Center, this cash-only local hole is as cheap as the lipstick on its patrons, yet as charming as the kitschy striped awning protecting its butt-heads. Free popcorn sates said scrawny, starving Brooklynite performance artists. You’ll find someone to go home with, but the only thing you’ll hit is a wall when she shares with you her new spiritual exploration of the imperialist-fascist-capitalist gulag that is Atlantic Yards. Music by Bjork.
