Overview

An attractive, but surprisingly low-key and inexpensive wine bar. A wine cellar ensures a good selection.

Two Union Square Cafe alumni man this subterranean bar, where small plates range from tuna sliders to pigs in blankets.

A Village wine bar that thumbs its nose at tradition---and snobs---bringing the drink of the gods back down to earth.

Crooks! Stay Away!
The bar charges an additional tax it says is "legal." Barmaid referred us to owner, a nebbish guy who previously served a bartender says he can "charge what I want" and "I don't think it's illegal." The barmaid, who scoffed at the heroin junkie she kept serving wine and taking cash from, walked away. Meantime, the alleged owner, a pathetic man who is only generous to his slacker friends who drink free, walked away from our concerns/complaints.
