Overview

Like Hop Devil in the East Village, David Copperfield's on the Upper East, and Brazen Head in Brooklyn Heights, Spuyten Duyvil is a bar for the beer lover. Boasting a hand pump for cask conditioned ale and over 100 bottled beers comprised mostly of carefully chosen Belgian ales, this railroad apartment shaped bar is a great place to rinse out the taste of all that Stella you've been drinking on Bedford Ave.

Why You Should Go

  • There's no better place in the city to experience such a large and varied selection of Belgian Ales.
  • The atmosphere complements the beer perfectly. The lighting is warm without being dim. The bar fills, but the crowd is thoughtful and conversational, rather than loud and overly boisterous.
  • The enormous garden with its ivy covered brick walls is nothing less than wonderful on a spring day.
