This dimly lit, heavy drinking bar has been a Park Slope fixture since 1931. It was also once Elliot Smith's favorite hang out when he lived nearby. It now attracts a mix of young and old regulars brought together by a shared love of drinks cheap and hard.

Like Cherry Tree across the street this bar has a large and unique beer selection, an attractive space, and a killer garden. What it's missing is the beer pong frat crowd.

This large sports bar and family restaurant has 40 beers on tap, dozens of TVs, and a wide ranging menu. In a strange twist, they host enormously popular weekend Salsa nights where the atmosphere becomes almost club like.
