There's live traditional Irish music every Saturday and Sunday night at this midtown pub. Best yet you can bring your kid brother or jailbait girlfriend because they card at the bar. |

There are two distinct spaces at this wine bar. A standup area serving cheese and wine and adjoining DJ lounge. Skip the sparse lounge with an odd $2 fee to sit down, and head straight for the wine bar where you can size up the real draw here, the huge selection of Artisanal cheeses on display. |

The trendy décor of this bi-level lounge is a departure from the frat bars that populate this stretch of 2nd Avenue, but the crowd and the music fit right in. |

The space is almost above reproach. A restaurant, bar, lounge all decked to the nines with Arabian flair. There's even a game room with a pool table, poker board, and a PS3. Unfortunately enjoyment of it requires the mental exercise of blocking out the Hamptons mate or die crowd, and forgeting you're drinking a $9 Corona. |

The lobby lounge of the Four Season's Hotel has a roaring fireplace and makes a mean Manhattan, of course the $20 price tag is pretty mean as well. |
