This hotel bar and lounge isn't a bad option if you're in the area. The lounge isn't a scene, and the ambience crystal chandeliers, chalkboard walls, and couches with throws and pillows is comfortable enough if a bit of a style misfire.

This 12,000SF space was formerly Temple and then T Nightclub. It's latest incarnation is Touch. It's big, it's purple, it has a full dance floor, and the bar changes color when you touch it.

There's no substitute for authenticity. Since 1938 the Oak Room has drawn a moneyed, older crowd to watch cabaret by the candle light. Cover can be upwards of $50.

The main floor of the former China Club gets a sparkly update to better woo the convention set. Crest has every bit of the charm and sophistication of a your average Midwestern hotel lobby, which is to say it's a damn site snazzier than most Midtown event spaces.

The main ballroom of the former China Club is now called Opera. The renovation has resulted in a cleaner more sophisticated venue at which to get beer spilled down your back by some 21 year old from Jersey fist pumping to Timberlake.
