Not just a student bar. Josie Wood's is the NYU student bar. It's basement environs might as well be annexed considering the amount of financial aid dollars spent here. And while anyone over 23 will feel like a dinosaur, for the kids with shiny new fake ids this is the place to head after class on a Thursday. |

Named for Oscar Wilde the decor of this midtown gay bar leans more heavily toward the 1980's than 1880's. No matter a friendly vibe and an outdoor patio space make OW an oasis in East 50's. |

Named for a type of sailing boat used in Galway Bay, this massive bi-level Irish pub has 36 taps, pool tables, a dart board, projection screen TV, and enough space to accommodate the entire fixed income department at Merrill Lynch. |

Just keep walking. This is the kind of place where misery finds company, hope is synonymous with the OTB, and the good and the beautiful are viewed with unveiled disdain. |

Huge, upscale billiard hall gives each table plenty of room. Oddly seems to be packed on weeknights and empty on weekends. |
