One of the great East Village jazz bars closed after 11 years and reopened under new management. This tiny bar is now one of the most boring and nondescript bars in NYC. |

So successful in Long Island they opened one in the E. Village. Luckily, the otherwordly sweet potato fries alone provide a solid raison d'être. |

The low key basement lounge feels more like the kind of Morrocan café you might actually stumble into in the South of France rather than the NYC idealized creation of one. There's only bottled beer, the food is just passable, and the average age of the clientel is what you'd expect in a country with no drinking age. |

Always a great time, always cheap, always too crowded to stand. Boasts some of the cheapest and best burgers in the city, but order them at the bar and save yourself the queue. |
