It's hard not to fall in love with the ironic perfection of Socialista. Celebrity investors spent 2 million green backs trying to capture the dillapidated glamour and sensuality of a Havana club in Fidel's Cuba. While the most accomplished doormen in the city attempt to evaluate someone's intrinsic human capital and worthiness for entry with a five second glance. |

It's a good idea to down a few of the giant margaritas at this tex-mex restaurant and bar before making your way to the food. |

It's a bar and it's a restaurant, and it's on Mars. What more do you need to know? If you haven’t been and think you can manage to eat and drink with your tongue in your cheek then it's time you paid it a visit. |

Istria is the largest peninsula in the Adriatic and is home to Italians, Croats, and Slovaks. There are just over 15,000 Istrians in the city and this is their home. There's a restaurant, a bar (3rd floor), a patio, and even a bocce court. The food is excellent and the prices are cheap. |

Gazing up at the 20,00 bottle tower of wine in the center of Le Cirque's new wine bar you might find yourself reminded of the Tower of Babel which is oddly appropriate given the linquistic gallimaufry that the weak dollar has created at what is one of Manhattan's priciest restaurants. |

Excess is the word of the day as you contemplate the incongruity between what it is to be an American and what it is to be a New Yorker at this big, loud and shitty, red, white and blue bar. |

Enjoying a pot of mussels and a pint of Duvel at this Flatiron Belgian brasserie is a singular pleasure. Service is swift, drinks are exactingly prepared, the food is excellent, and the bar staff are hot as hell. |
