A simple and straight forward bar. What it's missing in personality and warmth it makes up for with a rare combination of cleanliness and cheap drinks. Look for the small brass plaque and head downstairs to the basement. |

A seriously good time is to be had for those who can find this bar hidden away on Ave C - just look for the blue light and don't bother getting there before 11pm. |

A not exceptionally cool, but pretty well hidden Clinton Hill gay bar with DJ and dancing. |

A music focused DJ bar hidden behind the façade of a take-out empanadas joint. The space is far from ideal (too long and narrow) but the top notch sound system does well with it. |

A marketing blitz has brought out the weekend hordes to this former M bar space. Velvet ropes, lists at the door, and hundreds of people with nothing in common except for the fact they like going to newly opened bars. |

A low key local café bistro in a neighborhood besieged and overrun on weekend nights. The secret passage between Max Fish next door has been sealed up and the back room is now a restaurant space. |

A location just blocks from JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, and Credit Suisse helps create an atmosphere so debauched that some patrons have been known to not just loosen the knot of their ties, but even take them off completely. |

A large prototypical hotel bar where you easily imagine you were in any city in the US were it not for the floor to ceiling windows overlooking Times Square. But that in and of itself is reason enough to go. |
