The Porch lays rightful claim to the best garden in the East Village as the summer crowds here attest. But during the winter the dark woods and warm lighting creates an indoor atmosphere every bit as appealing. (Just reopened Sept 2007) |

This dimly lit bar is one of the very few venues in the city with a smoking exemption. It's sexy, reasonably priced, and so much fun you can't help but feel sorry for all those people standing in line outside of Le Souk a few blocks away. |

The late great International Bar has risen from the ashes. Christmas tree lights, tin ceilings, cheap drinks, and the juke box to end all juke boxes. It was the last great E. Village bar and it's back to reclaim its throne. |

Like Cherry Tree across the street this bar has a large and unique beer selection, an attractive space, and a killer garden. What it's missing is the beer pong frat crowd. |
