A shiny, polished, glowy Meatpacking lounge that somehow ended up here in the East Village. On weekends Tribe packs with enough urban professionals to obliterate any chance of actually lounging, but no ones here for that anyway. This is a place to look good and score digits. |

The numbers say it all. 32 Plasma TVs. 3 floors. Top 40 music. And 8 gazillion people jammed in on a Saturday night. |

Jet black leather couches, lava red carpets, an illuminated bar, and a stripper pole set the vibe at this ultra-trendy DJ lounge in the Hotel Rivington. Head to the right from the lobby or failing that the steel grey doors outside. |

It's tempting to dismiss this 70's themed bar simply out of hand, but spend an evening there and you'll soon quite suprisingly discover it's warm, comfortable and populated by some of the tastiest hipsters this side of Greenpoint. |

A huge open bar/restaurant with a low key lounge below, The Coffee Shop has become an NYC fixture not for its food, diner decor, or moonlighting model waitstaff comprised, but its prime location -- but what a location it is. |

On weekend nights this friendly Australian BBQ restaurant turned late night pick-up scene packs its railroad digs with teeming humanity. Depending on the individual the result is either a palpable sexuality of flesh pressed to flesh or a mild agoraphobia. |

A bar for those who pursue a more refined and sophisticated variety of drunken student buffoonery than Down the Hatch or Senor Swankey's can provide. |

Hugely popular latin club where the crowd dresses to impress and comes to dance. Hot is really the only word for it. |

The Porch lays rightful claim to the best garden in the East Village as the summer crowds here attest. But during the winter the dark woods and warm lighting creates an indoor atmosphere every bit as appealing. (Just reopened Sept 2007) |
