There aren't many sports bars in the East Village, and there aren't any other Buffalo Sabres or Cubs bars, so if that's what you're looking for you're in no position to complain. |

A low-key dive. Boasts really cheap beer, a great juke country box, and a fiercely competive pool table. |

Loud and raucous, the student crowd here's the same as the other big frat bars on this block, but at least Jake's has a backroom that's free of TVs, so you can try and score digits without the sickly plasma palor. |

Great tables, bargain rates and plenty of space make this basement pool hall a hit. Add a little Jazz or comedy later in the night to the mix and you've got a homerun. |

A prototypical East Village bar where the motley crowd starts to gather at noon on weekdays. On a recent Wednesday afternoon we shared the bar with hells angels, hipsters, and a host of friendly neighborhood regulars. |

A sing-along piano bar, a pool table, a juke box, and New York's oldest cabaret theatre. Frequented by the occasional broadway star and all those who love them. |

This NYC outpost of the Vegas Double Down has a long wooden bar and a pool table in back. The wall is emblazed with a disclaimer: You puke. You clean it. It might seem odd until you realize they serve a Bacon Martini (made with real bacon) and a shot called Ass Juice made from undisclosed ingrediants. |
