This locals dive is one of the oldest bars in Harlem. It's not so much a destination as a place to end up. But it you find yourself here, there's a pool table, a game on the TV, and even a piano against the wall if you've got the chops. |

This large, subteranean bar is located within a 1900's bank vault. It's a ghost town on weekends, but draws a huge and very loud after work crowd. |

This cigar bar and members club sadly lacks a liquor license, but it does have a barber on hand should you require a straight razor shave. |

There's no tap beers at this Harlem dive and of duty police hangout. But you can score a can of MGD just $1, there's free live jazz on Mondays, and ladies drink free on Saturday. |

There's little indication from the neon signs and roughshod exterior that there's an attractive bar with a good wine selection within. |

There was a time not too long ago when bars like this confined themselves to the Upper East Side. This sharp counterpoint to Beauty Bar next door features giant plasma TVs, wings and burgers, and standing room only crowds. |

There are dives and then there are dives where you can smell the history soaked into the stains on the floor. This blue collar bar is one of the latter. Since 1969 Timboo's has been serving beer to neighborhood residents, although it's not exactly the type of place you'd want to hang out soaking in the history. |
