Just above the ulta-expensive restaurant Megu this lounge is every bit as oppulent, but at a mere $12 a cocktail the financial barriers to entry are considerably lower. |

This dimly lit bar is one of the very few venues in the city with a smoking exemption. It's sexy, reasonably priced, and so much fun you can't help but feel sorry for all those people standing in line outside of Le Souk a few blocks away. |

There's a bed in the window at this Egyptian hookah bar. Take it over with four or five friends and sample on the 45 tobaccos they have on hand. |

GoldBar does oppulence rather well. Gold ceilings, gold chandeliers, gold tables, gold curtains, gold walls covered in tiny gold skulls all add up to a significant wow factor. Unfortunatly they also add up to an environment about as comfortable and welcoming as a bank vault. A standard cocktail will run $14, and the door policy can be brutal. |
