There's a certain subversive symmetry to a meat market beneath a vegetarian restaurant (Broadway East). However, thanks to the ease of finding parking in Chinatown, and a conspicous lack of neighborhood locals that seems about as edgy as this basement DJ den gets.

Sure, the faux Roman columns at this popular after work spot help lend it a certain classical feel, but it's when you try and vie for the attentions of the bartender at the fifty foot long bar that you really feel like you're at the Roman forum.
