This fair weather garden space has $2 PBRs and an aesthetic which transcends dive and ends up somewhere near trash heap. Oddly it's quite a relaxing and comfortable place to while away an afternoon.

A shiny, polished, glowy Meatpacking lounge that somehow ended up here in the East Village. On weekends Tribe packs with enough urban professionals to obliterate any chance of actually lounging, but no ones here for that anyway. This is a place to look good and score digits.

The working class roots that the area's many art school dropouts are at such pains to emulate are evident in spades at this Williamsburg dive, but there's no need to worry that the hipsters will take over. This bar has top notch hipster repellent - heavy metal. This leaves the associated regulars to profess their love for the free tater tots without worrying about the quality of their ironic lilt.

Calling a bar a frat bar implies at least a partial college education. Failing such ready nomenclature this is a Drink too much, puke in the toilet, tip the bathroom attendant the change in your pocket, go back to the bar, sweat profusely, wait forever for a drink, get in a screaming match with your girlfriend and call her a slut, then cry on her shoulder on the cab ride back to Penn Station kind of place.
It's also great for parties and fund-raisers.
