The bar formerly known as Tracy Js has karaoke and little else to recommend it (if in fact karaoke is a reason to recommend it as all).

This St Marks outpost of Sing Sing isn't as gritty as its Avenue A cousin, but it's got the same amazing library of tunes, and perhaps an even friendlier atmosphere.

One of the most popular Karaoke haunts in the East Village. There's a big boxy room up front and several private rooms you can rent by the hour in the back. Big groups of girls and smaller groups of gay men (from Urge and The Cock next door) flock to have a crack at the 30,000 song playlist.

Absolutely fabulous, cross-dressing-tacular restaurant where the price of admission is a $22 utterly mediocre entree.

This dimly lit bar is one of the very few venues in the city with a smoking exemption. It's sexy, reasonably priced, and so much fun you can't help but feel sorry for all those people standing in line outside of Le Souk a few blocks away.

This sports pub is representative of the new Park Slope - a sort of Brooklyn Heights meets the Upper East Side. The jukebox is capable of blasting GN'R with an earnest exuberance rarely seen since the late Reagan era.
