At some point in the late 90's when the first millionaires started moving onto Avenue C the spiritual heart of New York City started making its way East from the Village to Brooklyn. Following shortly behind the city's spiritual liver took up residency at Moe's. Rich, vibrant, edgy and diverse, Moe's is never boring and everything a New York City bars should be.

Claim a window seat at this relaxed neighborhood bar and grab your friends for a drink as they walk home after work from the F train. On Thursdays and Saturdays the scene is turned upside down and the place becomes an improbably meatmarket as the hip-hop DJs take over.

Talk about a tough door policy. In May 2006 a bouncer lost his temper with a patron a Opus 22 and whipped out a gun shooting him point blank in the chest. When his friend asked "Why did you shoot my friend?" The bouncer responded "You want some too?" and shot him and two other patrons as well.

Judging by the décor and drink prices you could be at an A list bottle-service club in Manhattan, but the crowd here is all Brooklyn. When it's on, the scene is like no other, unfortunately the DJ and crowd can be hit or miss depending on the night.
