Good food and beer

Great selection of tap beers, and good quality bar food. A spinoff offers much of the same in Park Slope.

Great selection of beers

Friendly barstaff and good atmosphere make a worthwhile visit. Special bonus Sundays; when get-togethers of musical wannabees from the local craft fair bring along their home-made instruments.

Beer, bocce

A good bar with old sofas near the front with a full size bocce court along the back. Nice selection of beer, friendly, and showing regular sports events. Beware, you might meet drunken Brits from the overspill of the Chip Shop, next door, who'll insist that the nightlife in Darlington is similar to, if not better than, New York or London

Dueling banjoes.

Although the bar has character, the locals' stares can be intimidated and would never be confused with a warm welcome.. Great to look around, lots of relics from maritime days, but it could do with a dusting and an attitude improvement.
