Lie detecting glasses
V Entertainment, a small US company, is marketing a consumer version of a lie detector originally designed for the Isreali government. By analyzing variations in tone of voice the company claims it is able to achieve an 86% success rate in lie detection (polygraphs have only a 83% success rate). The company currently offers two versions, one embedded in a pair of eyeglasses and another which is software based (and available for download). And if that's not enough for you they've even leveraged the technology to be used in a 'Love Detector' as well.Go to the site

Monkeyheaven says: Okay, but who talks any more? What the world needs is a lie detector for text based messages. In the movie, Fog of War Robert McNamara talks about how JFK received two cable messages from Russia during the Cuban Missile crisis. One hard line--and the other soft. Which message held the truth to the Soviet position--that was the mystery. Kennedy decided to respond to the soft message, and ignore the hard line message. Isn't that we all do when we are faced with a question of truth--chose the version of the truth we prefer? Down with lie detector glasses!
