Lonely? Desperate? At meet-an-inmate.com the chances are good you can find someone even lonelier and more desperate than yourself. Perhaps you might like to start a correspondence with Lethesia a lovely, sexually uninhibited, former stripper or Daniele who is a former bank teller and describes herself as "120 lbs of pure dynamite." hmmm... dynamite...former bankteller...freudian slip? *Note convenient cross-marketing with BigChurch.com

It is common practice to mirror websites which receive a great deal of traffic on another server. However, creating a site which is literally mirrored is definitely an uncommon practice.

Set your books free
Bookcrossing.com is one of those rare sites which makes truly realizes the potential of the internet. The idea is simple. Take a book you own. Go to
BookCrossing.com and get a unique ID for it. Write a note and the ID on the inside cover and then just leave the book somewhere public. Someone will find it, read it, go to the website and leave a note about it, and then they too will leave it somewhere public. Essentially you introduce your book into the wild with a tracking device. Then you follow it until it falls apart or some prick keeps it (which seems to rarely happen). With almost a
million books in the wild and counting your odds of finding a bookcrossing book are getting higher everyday.

The 1000 journal project
1000journals.com is an experiment in collaborative art. The idea is that one thousand journals are mailed out to the first one thousand people who sign up for them. The next people to sign up get in line behind the first thousand. Each person contributes something to the journal and then mails it off to the next in line. Eventually the journals will get returned to the website filled with beautiful
imagery and prose. The concept is wonderful, but it seems most of the journals eventually end up in the hands of someone who is too lazy, busy, or greedy to pass them on. Thankfuly due to the sheer number of journals in distribution at least some of these have made the rounds and returned to the website owner greatly improved.

2026: No capture of this page after 2006 survives; this is the 2006 page. The links go where they went then, and many
of those sites are gone.
