Demotivational tools
www.Despair.com sells a range of projects which poke fun at the motivational posters littering the walls of corporate America. Satire executed pretty damn well.

Watching the White House
BushFlash.com hosts a number of video's which might give many a supporter of the Bush presidency or the war in Iraq pause.
One video shows Bush as he learns of the attack on the twin towers. He shows no reaction whatsoever. Asks no questions. Does nothing for twenty minutes as he continues to read a children's story. Another
video features retired General Schwarzkopf explaining the reasons why America should not seek to occupy Iraq (following the first gulf war). The reasons: Lack of international support means risking the alienation of our allies and anti-US sentiment would lead to a vietnam like quagmire - smart guy.

Poetic purchase disruption
The idea is simple. Print out a bar code from the pdf on this website. Attach to an item in a store. When someone purchases the item it will scan as a single word instead of a price. The result is a moment of poetic disruption as words such as: Have, Give, or Want are displayed on the cash register.

The mad scientist handbook
Joey Green's Mad Scientist Handbook is kind of like a science fair cheat book. It teaches kids how to make green slime, rock candy, an exploding volcano, or a tornado in a soda bottle. However, for reasons we at NyOnTap can't fathom, the really exciting experiments were censored by the books publishers. Luckily the author was kind enough to place these censored experiments on his website. Children rejoice here are some fun ways to pass a rainy Sunday afternoon with nothing, but some Drano, Clorox, a lighter, and a good old fashioned sense of adolescent curiosity.
