Did you know in stats column to the right of the bar map you can see the highest rated and most viewed bars in any neighborhood?Ah, what a wonderful and glorious tool is Photoshop, were it not for which are world would be less beautiful, the pedestals on which we place our celebrities would be closer to the ground, and Maxim magazine would be out of business. Take a look at these photos (1, 2) and imagine for a moment how less pleasant your local news stand would be without it.
Go to the siteBy now we've all had enough time to process it. Most of us have made our own way through the four stages of grief after Black Tuesday, and here we are at acceptance. And with acceptance comes the necessary acknowledgement that although we may have voted there is still more we could have done more. Was there a group of Republicans that you could have taken to lunch at a cheap Mexican restaurant leaving them more concerned with their own ass then the one they planned to vote for? Or better yet maybe you could you have just taken them to lunch in Mexico on Tuesday? Think about it. Search your heart. We all could have done more. When all is said and done an apology is owed. And here's where to place it.
Go to the siteIf you haven't seen John Stewart's interviewed on Crossfire yet. Now is the time. Watching someone plainly state the truth in the national media is a rare and satisfying experience. He came to the show with a simple message: Show's like Crossfire are bad for America. They are willing accessories to the political spin machine, and serve to obfuscate rather than enlighten the truth about their subject. Wacthing Stewart coolly expose Carlson and Bagala for hacks, as much through their protestations can't help but a bring smile to your lips regardless of your political affiliation. You can read the written transcript of the interview here, but watching it is far more fun.
Go to the siteOne of the great promises of the internet is to bring publishing to masses. Anyone can author a simple web page and publish at zero cost. This ability has ushered in the information revolution, but it is the fact that anyone can publish with complete anonymity which has created a deluge of innumerable hoaxes. Thankfully we have the Museum of Hoaxes to catalog them for us. Odd are you've fallen for at least one of these. Among the myriad of gems nestled in the museum are these wonderful beauties : The very convincing minicooper robot, Chrissy Caviar and Viagraholics.
