Thanks to a handful of blogs google-bombing the White House web site a search of the Google for the keywords "Miserable Failure" returns a direct hit with in the first result, the biography of George W. Bush. This is certainly a triumph for the power of bloggers everywhere, but does it go far enough? We think this can and should be improved upon, and so have decided to lead the charge to google-bomb all searches for jackass to the same page. Want to help the cause? Just add the link:

You can get a free one from Geocities or Angelfire, and a little content this link and who knows pretty soon the Asociate Press will be running a headline like "Google confirms George Bush is the number one jackass in the world"

Responding to a recent upsurge in violence against American troops in Iraq, the US has employed a number of techniques reminiscent of the Israeli anti-terror campaign in Palestine. Naturally, these hardline tactics have had implications for the other war in Iraq, the one "for the hearts and minds of the Iraqis." Racist? Sexist? Ageist? Homophobe? You? Nah. Course not. Believe it or not these things are testable and quantifiable. The test works like this. You see a word like 'joy' or 'cruel'. If the word is good you press one key if bad you press a different key. Then you'll see either a word or a picture of someone black or white or young or old and be instructed to select the key for bad or good again. The idea is that when you try and do this quickly your subconcious shines through and a great many people who thought they were bias free end up consistently classifying blacks, gays, and women as bad and whites, straights, and men as good, or vice-versa depending on the individual.
