The mad scientist handbook
Joey Green's Mad Scientist Handbook is kind of like a science fair cheat book. It teaches kids how to make green slime, rock candy, an exploding volcano, or a tornado in a soda bottle. However, for reasons we at NyOnTap can't fathom, the really exciting experiments were censored by the books publishers. Luckily the author was kind enough to place these censored experiments on his website. Children rejoice here are some fun ways to pass a rainy Sunday afternoon with nothing, but some Drano, Clorox, a lighter, and a good old fashioned sense of adolescent curiosity.

Nowhere Girl
Nowhere girl is an online comic chronicling the adventures of an alienated, angst ridden, misunderstood, bisexual twenty-something girl. Ok. Yeah. We know. But what differentiates this comic from every other comic about an alienated, angst ridden, bisexual girl is that this one is beautiful, professional, and demonstrative of the work of a gifted artist working at the top of her field. One of the few online works nominated for a
Eisner Award, Nowhere girl is like blues music (or sex for that matter). Its been done by a million people, a million times before. We know where it's going, and we know how it's going to get there. But when it's great, when it's really great, the notes being played cease to matter. You listen. You enjoy.

Black people simply love these guys
Sally and Johnny are some of the flyest crackers in their hood. The adolation showered upon them by their numerous black friends is proof that they are way to cool for school. And since it's common knowledge that no one with black friends can harbor prejudices we could all learn a thing or too from Sally and Johnny.

Revox
After laboring in obscurity for nearly three months Revox (aka Jack Lukic) has
released his seminal album over the internet. Quite frankly it's a work of
staggering genius demonstrating a melodic flair not seen on this planet since
Hendrix. You can
listen to it here.
Prejudicial disclosure: Note "Revox" may or may not be a blood relative of
the author of this article and/or president of nyontap.com

Perhaps you might like to start a correspondence with Lethesia a lovely, sexually uninhibited, former stripper or Daniele who is a former bank teller and describes herself as "120 lbs of pure dynamite." hmmm... dynamite...former bankteller...freudian slip? *Note convenient cross-marketing with BigChurch.com
