Uninsured? Tempted by cost saving surgery at teaching hospitals? Got girl bits? Watch out. In most states it's not necessary for doctors to get consent from patients before performing a practice pelvic exam. In fact most students are instructed to get as much practice as they can, examining anesthetized patients whenever the opportunity avails itself. Sounds like an urban legend, eh?
