Comfortable economy class (oxymoron?)
For anyone who has ever taken an 8 hour flight with their knees pressed into their chest by the seatback in front of them knows the importance of legroom to flying in comfort. The important thing to know is that not all planes are created equal. The seat pitch (the distance from any point on one seat to the exact same point on the seat in front of or behind it) varies dramaticly between airlines, planes, and seats on the same plane. www.SeatGuru.com was designed to help you choose the optimum seat. It's definately worth checking out before you book your next flight. But if you're 6' 10" then even the biggest economy class seat pitch might not be enough to accomodate you when the guy in front of you reclines his seat into your knees. In that case what you need is a Knee Defender, an FAA permitted device to prevent the seat in front of you from reclining. As you might imagine the device has stirred up quite a bit of controversy.Go to the site
