In addition to the amusing coffee guy downstairs and his delicious sugar filled counter cookies, the shrimp avocado sandwich (served hot) makes it worth the trip.

Yes Eight mile creek shows the footy. Call them for a schedule. Also do a 5 course dinner for the grand final. Dont plan on hearing the commentators over the speaker though. The bartender controls the music, and on my visit was blasting old school rock. Also, doesn't realy draw much of a crowd for the regular season games, so don't worry about being bothered by rowdy sportwatchers/ or expect any team comraderie- depending on how you look at it.

- yes the band warms up. i swear it gets better. stick it out, youll be glad. -crazy arm movement dancing is prevalent. mind your drinks - while this may be an anomaly, sometimes a strange looking group of people "gets there really early so they could stake out seating", and whether or not they actually have enough members in their party to fill all of the chairs, that seat is theirs, and they will fight you for it

Are you a "rusty nail" or an "cosmopolitan"? An enticing martini menu forces male patrons to carefully balance their machismo with their tastebuds. While a quaint little place, it can get busy and leave the waitress overextended (Im giving her the benefit of the doubt because frankly she was intimidating.) But really, by the end of the night, do you even remember what you ordered either?

saturday avos during the right season this place gets packed with sweaty muscular men. also an important insight: the bar is stocked with jenga. If youre lucky youll grab the box where the pieces have been written on -who could have done that?!? :)- and be in for "truth or dare jenga". Be careful, you may find yourself having to "proposition a stranger" or "share a secret insecurity"

I don't dance. At Cafe Wha?... I dance. And its impossible not to spill sangria. So learn a good recipe for removing red wine stains first...
