Dinner for two at $600. Martinis $21.50. The prices are not for the faint of heart and the food bland enough to please your grandmother. After years of serving mediocre meals and EXPENSIVE drinks the Rainbow Grill is closing. Not to worry, although the eating establishment will close, the bar lives on. With a revolving dance floor and gorgeous views, the opulent Art Deco supper club was once a refuge for the upper crust, but now it's just a tame tourist trap with poor service...

Good food, attentive wait staff, cool environment, but a magnet for loud parties in the regular dining area.

A great heads-up Irish pub without all the "look at me I'm Irish" definition. Great Guinness. Friendly and interesting wait staff and tenders. Nicely laid out with plenty of room to gather a group and still feel like you're someplace if you pop in early. Excellent location for a before dinner "catch your breath" drink.

From the scarlet draperies to the hammer and sickle matchbooks, KGB is dark red through and through. The small room on the second floor was squeezed shut with bodies on the Friday night I was there, with everyone trying to edge a little closer to he action at the podium. The drinks were the regular fare, even if the activity behind the bar was a little slow by pub standards. We were there more for the words than the bottles of beer, but a quicker set-up would have made things smoother.
